Howdy folks, just wondering if anyone has had any experience with the Gov. model 1911 Firestorm(good, bad, in between). Yes I know the background of the company, yes I know there are higher quality .45's on the market but, this is mostly for home defense and general target/plinking use. Any comments would be appreciated. Thanx.

My boy has the Firestorm Commander sized 1911. It must be an exception to the rule, because it is rock solid dependable and more accurate than you'd believe. He paid just $300 new and has had it for about 3 years now.
