I have a Davis Industries .380 that I borrowed from a friend. It's a very cheap gun. I dry fired it once and the firing pin snapped in half and flew across the room. Does anyone know how I can fix it/replace the part? I'm assuming parts for this gun are not readily available. Any help would be appreciated.

Good luck in getting the part. The manufacturer has long been out of business. The Davis was one of a number of guns, mostly .22 or .25 ACP caliber, that were made cheap and sold cheap. While some actually worked well, as a group they were poorly made of cheap materials, were unreliable, and wore out quickly.

That's what I thought, Jim, but mrmeval pointed me in the right direction. I believe I found the part at Numrich online and they have them in stock. The gun is a piece of junk, but it belongs to a friend so I will fix it. Thanks for the help, mrmeval.

Hi, Geronimo-7,

You may find that fixing a Davis (or any of those guns) is not just a job, it is a career. No sooner do you fix one thing than something else goes wrong.

Jim, I plan on replacing the firing pin and giving it back to it's rightful owner. I won't be spending any more of my money on it. It's a piece of garbage. I can't believe my friend used to carry it for self defense. Have a good one.
