First .22 LR auto -- Thoughts? Ruger or Buckmark?

To the op: both guns are so good that you can let personal comfort/ergonomics/preferences decide for you. I ended up with a buckmark because it felt perfect in my hands and I liked the idea of a great trigger out of the box (vs tinkering... Generally speaking I'd rather just get something as close to what I want right from the start).

But really it's up to you. Now, to the person above me asking about which one to get, I would say just start out asking yourself what's important to you. Planning on a supressor? Save yourself the cash and get one with a threaded barrel from the factory. I got a camper urx with a fiber optic front sight and 2 extra mags and a gun rug (seems like a popular package, they're still all over) and Im incredibly happy with it.

I actually went .22 shopping last week for a kit gun with the following criteria:

.22 caliber
semi-auto
short barrel
no bells and whistles (no need for a scope or even adjustable sights)
cost effective

I stumbled across the a lightly used Ruger Mkiii with a 4" bull barrel, fixed sites, case, and two magazines for around $200. I had never shot a semi-auto .22 pistol before. No one ever told me how much cheap fun I could have:D

Perfect addition to my camping kit:)
