I no longer have the first revolver I ever purchased, it was a 6" S&W M19-2. I bought it in 1978, traded it later that year for a 4" M66 which I also no longer have. Of the guns I now own, the first revolver I bought is a 4" M19-3, to replace the ones I no longer own. The last one I bought (so far), is a 4" M25-5.
I have the original Target stocks for both. The M19-3 is from 1974 and the M25-5 is from 1980. M19-3 and M25-5.jpg

I had just moved to the "big city" to go to law school and thought I should get a handgun to protect my wife and me. Money was short so I bought an RG .38 spl snubby. I got rid of it as soon as I could buy a real revolver (SW M-27). The last revolver I bought was a new model Colt King Cobra. It makes for a great carry gun.

First was a nice 48-4. Bought it from my dad, and yes, he took me. Fell on some hard times later on and sold it back to him. Begged and pleaded to buy it back. Told me he sold it. Nice little surprise to find he lied and still had it. Lesson learned. My latest is a beautiful colt trooper in 22 mag. Can't wait to shoot it. 20220304_193016.jpg 20220304_193242.jpg

That 48 is......WOW!

This was my first revolver, bought in September 1954. It was a mail order Colt New Service in .45 Colt. The gun was originally a .455 Mounties revolvers, then sold s surplus and rebored to .45 Colt. Around 1960 or so I had it rechambered, new cylinder and barrel, to .44 Special. Also S&W rear sight, Micro front.

The last gun I bought, so far, is this Colt New Frontier in .44 Special, 5 1/2" barrel, bought in May 2019:

I think I've said something about being partial to Single Action revolvers?

Well, that depends.

The first revolver I bought was this Uberti 44 caliber, brass framed Cap & Ball Navy, in 1968. Yes, I know now the Navy was never chambered for 44 caliber, but I did not know that when I was a kid of 18 and borrowed my Dad's car to drive down to the Navy Arms showroom in Ridgefield NJ to buy the revolver. I seem to recall I paid $60 for it.

I bought several cartridge revolvers in 1975. It is hard to recall exactly, but this S&W Model 17-3 was one of them, and it was probably the first cartridge revolver I bought. I still have the box and all the goodies. $125 out the door in 1975.

I have slowed down buying guns considerably over the last couple of years. I used to buy quite a few every year. I'm pretty sure this S&W Model 25-3, chambered for 45 Colt is the most recent revolver I have purchased. Bought it some time in 2021.

The first revolver I bought was a Navy Arms 44 caliber cap and ball revolver. I gave it to a friend that does Civil War reenacting. He needed some additional "fire power" during his cavalry charges.

The first cartridge revolver was a Ruger Single Six. I still have it.

The most recent revolver is a new production Colt Python.

Iver Johnson Trailsman 66 in about 1960. It was awful. After two trips to the factory, it still failed to index properly. Traded for a Single Six. Last purchase was a Uberti 1851.
