Not a bad price, considering it is already put together. Also, PSA is out of stock of most of their stuff anyways.

If on a tight budget your best value is to buy a complete lower and then stick a complete upper on it. You just push two pins in and go! Look for a 16' chrome lined or Nitrated barrel with a mid-length gas system and a m4/flat top upper.

Looks like a good starter AR but you may want to go ahead and upgrade it with the quad rail hand guard. You're also going to have to buy magazines for it. I'm surprised it doesn't come with at least one. Then you're going to need optics or iron sights....and then lots of ammo....and the list goes on....

Welcome to the AR world! :D

These units are Brand new and we warranty them for one full year.
These AR 15's are not cheap copies , they are well built by us, "Orion", we have priced them low enough so that our customers who want a nice AR 15 can afford it.

I'd say pass. The only thing PSA here is the upper and lower. You get a lower parts kit from an unknown source, no magazine, an RRA bolt carrier group (not made of carpenter 158 steel, shot peened, and HPT/MPI), a 1/9 twist barrel (doesn't say if it is chrome lined or not) vs. the 1/7 twist on Palmetto rifles, and the warranty is only one year, vs. Palmetto's lifetime warranty. All for the same price as a new actually-made-by-PSA rifle.

Don't buy it. Buy from PSA if you want a PSA.

I would pass on that AR. Some PSA pieces with commercial barrel, bolt and carrier. The barrel, bolt and carrier is the heart of the gun. Looks like they are trying to cash in on PSA's reputation.

I would buy a PSA complete upper and lower kit. Better AR and about $100 less.

thanks for the info guys... think I will pass and look into getting one from PSA... does anyone know if PSA can build one that is CA Compliant...

I don't think they offer one like that, but they stock the "bullet button" used to make a CA-compliant rifle. You should E-mail them.

I've built 2 AR-15s so far, and I doubt seriously if you would be able to get the arm cheaper than $700.00. I know most lower receivers are made by CMMG out of Texas (I believe), and they are all mil-spec. Which means they are built to military standard specifications. With only a one year warranty, I wouldn't mind getting that as you will probably shoot in the neighborhood of 5,000 rounds thru it in that amount of time. If anything is going to go wrong with it I would suspect it would happen long before that. Either way enjoy the AR-15 as it is one great firearm.
