I live in Olathe, KS, which is in Johnson County. Our Johnson County Sheriff department runs a citizens academy and graduates can do volunteer work for the department. Tonight we had our first class and it was good. One of the graduates from an earlier class related that he was a firearms instructor when he was in the military. His wife attended the same class as he did and had never fired a gun. Part of the course is to go to the firing range. Well when they got there one classmate had just gotten back from Iraq and took this guy's wife under his care and showed her how to fire and hit the target with accuracy. Our man said that he thereafter had a hard time out shooting her. Guess who now has her own weapon and goes shooting with her husband. I like stories with a happy ending.
