Well guys I've been on THR for a little over 2 years now and I finally bellied up to the bar & bought my first gun. I had some experience shooting with the BSA & a few shooting trips here & there so I felt comfortable jumping right into a 12 ga Savage 67 series with a polychoke for $175 out the door. Unfortunately I don't have anything to say regarding the choke because it was VERY windy and the clays would have been thrown back in our faces. The action was buttery smooth and the trigger was decent. As you can see the stock is a bit bunged up so I'm gonna strip it & get a nice oil finish on the walnut under that paint. I hope nobody minds me sharing my enthusiasm over my new purchase. That's all. Gunslinger out.

You've shown great restraint to hold out for two years around this bunch of enablers!:D

Hope you have many years with your new friend. Probably won't be long before you reckon it's a bit lonely & find it a mate.;)

Welcome onboard! Nice choice for your first gun! A 12 gauge pump action shotgun is very versatile and and lends itself to a variety of uses. Enjoy.

Isn't that the truth.
Fishslayer I shot my buddy's CZ97B and I absolutely love it so that's what's slated to buy next.
This happened to me as well. A fellow THR member let me shoot his CZ97, and I just had to have one. (Really I did)

Nice first gun, and you'll love that CZ97. I see a .22 LR in your future as well. :)

Well the same trip I shot a Colt Series 80 National Gold Cup & the CZ97. With the 1911 I got all hits in the torso. With the CZ97 I emptied the mag in a 5 inch circle with it only being the 4th handgun I've fired and none of them extensively.
