First range trip with my new g21sf

Hey guys I just got back from the range with my new Glock.I gotta tell you this gun blew away all my expectations,I really like everything about this gun.This is my first Glock and my first .45 and I had a blast shooting it.Sorry about the pic I know the quality sucks.

When I bought my Reminton 870 Tactical this morning, I over heard one of the owners talking about the G21SF, and the SA-XD 45ACP. He swore he "...would never buy the Glock!"

I tried to extract some meaningful information from him as to why, because they carry a lot of Glocks, so it didn't make sense! I told he and the other customer, "I have had both Glocks and SAs, and liked both...but, why don't you care for the Glocks?"

Dead silence.

Listen, for my part, I like both SA and Glocks. But, the one thing that can be said for Glocks is that they just do not fail...period. They run, and they run, and they run! I can't wait for a rental to arrive so I can try one out.

Just curious why you bought the SF and then put the Hogue Handall on it? It's got to be as big or bigger than a normal 21 now.

Still sweet setup, I personally have two glock 21's and love them.

GunNut,I put the hogue on it for a little extra grip,I wasn't comparing a g21 to g21sf when I bought.I just happened to pick up the g21sf and liked it.I was originaly in there to buy a g19 or a cz po1,but I'm glad I went with the g21sf.

Great gun, if I did not have two G21's I would pick up a 21SF.

GunNut,I held a G21 at the range gun shop today I really could'nt feel much difference but I have pretty big hands.I think I would have been just as happy with aG21.

I agree, it's a great gun. I love mine. I really didn't think that a marginally shorter slide and that slightly "deeper" curve in the backstrap would make that much of a difference, but they both do. I own and really like a standard 21, but this new 21SF is now my favorite house gun. It feels much better in my hand. Now, if I can just find a quality leather IWB holster that will accomodate that rail, I'll be in business for CCW as well.

Just got my G21SF today and put 150 rounds thru it. Loved shooting it. Very accurate and controllable.

Now I need a kydex IWB holster to fit that picatinny rail; any recommendations? I like my Blade-Tech Universal IWB that I use with my G17; will the G21-size fit the rail?
