First time re-loading for a semi-auto rifle, any way(s) to speed up sizing?

I might be the odd man out on this one, but I neck size only a lot of my brass for the AR. If it was originally fired in the gun (or full length sized then fired in the gun) neck sizing has always worked great for me. No feeding issues to speak of. I only have 1 5.56 gun as well... someone feeding multiples would be better served full length sizing.

Anyone else neck size only for the AR?

A follow-up on my previous One-Shot post...

I did end up with a stuck case earlier this week (some of you may have seen that post).

Suffice it to say, be careful to make sure that you 1) get all of the cases lubed appropriately, and 2) let your lube dry.

I certianly lost the "quick" factor with that little delay!

I have been using One Shot and then was using the Imperial Sizing wax and just get the stuff on my fingers so when loading the case into the press it gets wax on it. I think I will try it without the one shot. I was using a Hornady FL die and the One Shot is NOT enough for it unless you use a ton of it. My RCBS FL die seem to do better with One Shot...go figure.

Bowfishrp and kevin,

I liked Hornady One-Shot too but like you I found I had to use a fair amount. I am not a fan of Imperial Sizing wax just because it is a pain in the butt to use; yea, yea I know just need a little on your fingers but it is an added motion to keep it on your fingers. What I have found to be the best, most economical, fastest to apply, and the most sure way of never having a dented or stuck case is: 1 - Part lanolin to 4- Parts 99% isopropyl alcohol. I lay all my brass out on a cookie sheet and give them a light spritz from a pump sprayer and roll them around. Last week end I laid 300 rounds out at time spritzed them four times and rolled them around with my hand to ensure they were all lubed. Didn't have to wait for them to dry nor did I have to relube any and I didn't have one stick or get dented. In 30 years of reloading I have never found anything I liked better - give it a try I think you'll agree.

I use the Dillon spray lube and a cloth bag.
Spray the lube into the bag so it is wet, toss in some brass, roll around, dump out brass.
Keep the bag in a zip-lock between uses.
The cloth holds the lube nicely and puts it on the outside of the cases.

I have old 'bolt bags' but occasionally have the wife sew up some new bags from old sheets if needed.

The way I do it works well for me. I use some RCBS lube, latex glove on left hand. apply some lube to glove, spread lube all around glove. grab ammo case with gloved hand with lube on it. Rub lube on case with brass in hand. resize, throw in bucket, repeat. Works for me.
