Imperial Sizing Wax vs LEE Resizing Lubricant

For those of you using Imperial, what is your preferred method of application? Do you apply it directly to the cases with your fingers, apply it to a pad and roll the cases on the pad or roll the cases on a pad with the lubricant on your fingers? Also, if you then tumble the cases to remove the lubricant, does it really shorten the life of your tumbling media by getting it all gooey?

I swipe a finger or two across the wax, and rub it into my palms. Then I will grab a hand full of brass, and work them around in my hands. I usually reapply Imperial Wax every 4-5 hand fulls of brass. As for the larger magnum cases, I usually do them individually since I only resize 50-100 at a time. I have never personally noticed any gooey media. I always use Orderless Mineral Spirits in my media so I'm sure the MS breaks down the lube well.

I have RCBS Case Lube II and Imperial. I mostly use the RCBS stuff. Put some on my fingers and lube the cases as I pick them up and put them in the shell plate. Other than stopping every few cases or so to relube my fingers, it isn't any slower than not lubing. I am not loading at the same time, so I don't have to worry about seating bullets with lube on my fingers. Tumble it off with media dedicated for just that.

I use both Lee and Imperial. I prefer the Lee in a 6 to 1 solution of Iso alcohol in a small Walmart atomizer. Shake well before using. Put maybe 4 squirts into a gallon ziplock bag, add brass, sort of roll the brass around in there, pour out to dry, and repeat with more brass.

I used Imperial for a long time now, but pretty much confine its use to lubing up cases for neck turning now. I have really come to like that Lee lube in the toothpaste tube. I suppose folks will use whatever works for them.

Based on everyone's great comments, here's what I've kinda decided to do: I'll use Imperial on the cases by applying it to my fingers and rolling the cases on a pad and then using a case neck brush, I'll apply Lee lubricant inside the necks since it's water soluble and won't have an effect on the powder. I'll dry tumble a second time or just wipe off the lube after sizing. I know many of you will say I'm making too much out of this, but it's my OCD/anal nature...which really pisses my wife off sometimes. Any comments about my procedure?

Yeah, it's not necessary to tumble after you use Imperial. When you finish sizing the case just do a very quick whip down with a rag as you place the case in the loading block.

Everything else sounds like it will work well. BTW, when it comes to reloading, a little OCD is not necessarily a bad thing...
