Practiced the basics, doing some bullseye shooting instead of COM self defense drills with scarce large bore ammo. Our 50 acre gun club is across the street, and this way I can go as often as I want. The Buckmark from ‘87 resides in the range bag, today I added the Heritage Rough Rider 6”.

I get to go 3-5 times a week, consider myself lucky. But ammo is so expensive when you can find it, feeding the .22’s will allow me to continue to feed my need for range time. Here’s the Browning I bought when I turned 21.

Nice slabside!

Even when ammo was available at normal prices I always take a .22 to the range with me. I try to go 2-3 times a month, and it's not hard to blow through $50-100 of centerfire ammo in a session so switching to a .22 at some point still helps me practice but I don't feel so guilty about it.
