Last weekend the Winchester Canyon Gun Club in Santa Barbara County CA sponsored our first "official" CMP youth event. We've held numerous practive events without scoring over the past few months but this time it was a timed, scored event. Five kids participated aging from 9-12 years old, shooting .22 caliber rifles offhand at 25 feet.
High score was a 44; low score a 2. We had blue ribbons and other prizes for all participants. Next month I have 40 girl scouts coming up to the range for their first shooting event, plus a number of trap shooting events are scheduled for the summer. Check out our web site:
