FIST Holster question

I have one of their #22 "Secret System" holsters for my ultralight S&W M337 revolver. Mine is an older model FIST from a few years ago, made of leather, not Kydex, but I love it.

The little gun is invisible with that holster.

The holster attaches via velcro to the backside of your belt, and you can tuck your shirt in around the holster and then there are no clues, utterly NOTHING at all visible that is a tell-tale that you are armed. The holster is also quite adjustable for position, and allows me to position almost the entire S&W snubbie below my beltline for extra deep concealment when wearing light and tight t-shirts and shorts.

I highly recommend the FIST "Secret System 2" holster for this kind of deep concealment usage, ideal for use with a small/ultralight pistol when wearing my normal light tshirts and khaki shorts on hot summer days.

I have a Fist #12 for my Ruger SP101. It's a pancake style holster but has an open top. I ordered it from Gunners Alley, and it took a month. It was worth the wait. It's a very well made holster. They are made to your specifications, including the barrel length, belt slot width, and color. My SP101 fits in it nice and snug, but can be drawn quickly with a firm tug. I expect it will last for years, it appears to be a very rugged holster. Also, they are very reasonably priced.

I have six FIST holsters.................

each made for a different gun of mine. All are leather and all have proven to be excellent! Recommend them without reserve. Good shooting;)

This one is a model #44 made for my CZ 85C.

I prefer FIST Kydex holsters (I have 3), but I've had 3 of their leather holsters....all top quality. I've never had a problem with their ultra thin Kydex in the 4 years I've used them. By the way, www.gunnersalley.com has the best prices on FIST holsters.

I use a FIST#1, IWB, kydex, slight cant for my Glock36. Excellent holster for the price! SUPER thin, strong secure clip, great retention yet a super fast draw. Fits my pistol perfectly! I've worn it on and off for about a year and it's held up very well. Weird thing is I bought the same exact holster (except I added the body protector) for my 225 and retention was too loose. Maybe b\c the trigger guard is so thin on the 225 it didn't have much to hang onto like on the Glock. Anyhow, I returned it to GunnersAlley for a full refund with no questions asked. They're great to deal with!

Good stuff. Just got a #1 IWB in black leather for my S&W 329pd.

Its no the standard 4" version but the limited run 3" version plus compensator made for Lew Horton - no problem. They custom made the holster, fits great with adjustable retention screws.

You can custom order one online direct from them: http://www.fist-inc.com/holsters/Default.htm

prices are reasonable and you can pick your options: http://www.fist-inc.com/holsters/opalt/Default.htm

I usually get the following options:
- Closed Bottom
- Tension Screw
- Alternative Tension Screw
- Body Protector
- Full Reinforcement for BOTH SIDES

For my HK the cost in leather came to about $93 (less S&H)

I have several FIST leather IWBs and one (or two?) leather belt holsters, and I am very pleased with all of them. An excellent product at a good price.

I have a FIST strong-side leather holster for my Smith N Frames. It is excellent and affordable.

>> have a Fist #12 for my Ruger SP101<<

I have the same one for a SIG, and it's one of the best holsters for the money I've ever seen. My next one will be a FIST as well.:)

Love my K4 Tuckable!

The K4 in ultrathin kydex is what I use for my Kahr PM9. Great holster. It holds much better than I had thought and is extremely comfortable due to its really thin design.

I have a 1a with forward cant for my P7...great for the money...but don't order it from fist...order it from gunersalley.com cheaper price, cheaper shipping and better customer service (you can get them on the phone and they even call back if you miss them)...

I'm giving FIST a big thumbs down. I received a kydex FIST IWB holster for my SIG 239 approximately 7-8 months ago. The area that protects the exposed section of the gun from contacting the body cracked. This has not been hard use, and hasn't been everyday carry. I contacted FIST, and they said if the holster is over 6 months old, they wouldn't replace same because "The kydex is thin, and can crack." They offered me a discount on the same model, which I declined. Why pay for another when they admit it may crack because it's thin, and if over 6 months old I'm out of luck? They told me it's inferior! I'll stick with the companies who stand behind their products longer than 6 months.

personally...i can't complain, yet...

1) i have not received it yet, 2) i think its leather and not kydex, and 3) its free (thrown in when i purchased my XD)...

Eamonn...sorry about your experience.

I have a leather Fist pocket holster for my 3†1911, well made and the gun to holster fit is excellent. After reading about the problems with the Kydex, I’m glad I chose leather.

I've heard that ultra thin kydex is no very durable...my leather rig is very well made made and looks like it might outlast me...

Never used the hydex, but their leather gear is, IMO, just about the finest you can get for the money. It's very stiif, and I like the retaining dent in the trigger guard as well, keeps everything right where it should be. Don't bother getting the cordovan, though....when they say it can be mistaken for black, they aren't kidding.
