I got a Burris Fullfield II recently and needed to purchase some scope covers for it. I started researching what size to get and found that the objective uses the 25 but the eyepiece was not as clear. I was seeing anything from 10 to 14 for the eyepiece cover. I measured my eyepiece and it showed that I needed an 11 in the butler creek cover.

I received them yesterday and the objective fit perfect but the eyepiece cover fits just over the rubber focus ring on the eyepiece side. It is nice and snug and makes it very easy to turn the focus ring but I didn't know if it should go further over the ring and on to the metal part of the scope. Does this sound right or should I have gotten a bigger eyepiece cover?

Thanks

It should go on all the way.

You don't want the scope cover hanging out in the breeze shortening your eye relief.
It will shoot your eye out due to recoil!

And you for sure don't want it getting bumped by something and pulling the rubber out of the eye piece.

Return it.

Or slit it with a razor blade, put it on all the way, and wrap it with black vinyl electrical tape when you get it on where it goes.

Well I got it on there good. I was a little hesitant to force it on but the eve cover looks to stretch a little so it is on there good and I was able to get it off pretty easy too. Being brand new I didn't want to force it but what rc said about losing eye relief made a lot of sense so I made sure the focus ring was all the way down and gave it a push. It is pretty tight but seems to fit good and seated all the way down. Thanks for all the help.
