My G35 used to have a fairly loose lockup on it's stock bbl. I took it to the range and fired 45 rds Remington 180 JHPs from a Wal Mart value pack.
I then heard something odd at the shot. The indoor range was crowded so I couldn't pinpoint it. My trigger had reset so I squeezed it again only to get a click. I chamber checked and found an empty case, an obvious FTE. I racked the slide and fired again but got a terrific jolt of recoil. My front sight disappeared from the slide. When I tried to clear my weapon I found that I had a veerrry tightly fitted barrel. The slide was stuck solid.
It appears that one 180 gr JHP was stuck in the barrel and the second 180 JHP hit it from behind. I sent 360 grs down range with one powder charge.
The barrel is bulged into the frame. I can see the brass case from the muzzle. It's locked into the Glock chamber. I called Smyrna this morning and they advised me to ship it for warranty service. I shipped next day air this afternoon. They did ask if it was factory ammo, I assured them it was and I sent the lot number to them. No pics available but it looks like an ordinary G35. No cracked bbl, no gas escape, no damaged mag and no injury. The Glock barrel held the pressure and stayed in lockup.
