Flash Hider

It depends on what kind of flash hider you want. The easiest to make would be the cone type use on Enfield Jungle Carbines and the M1 Sniper versions. Remember the primary purpose of the flash hider is to preserve your night vision and secondary to conceal your flash. The cone type will take care of the primary but not the secondary.

I really don't see a flash hider useful on a general purpose firearm but whatever floats your boat.

I've seen ones made for M1s out of a grenade launcher. This can probably be modified for any centefire rifle.

Sure. All you need is a lathe. Maybe a milling machine too, depending on the design. Then silver solder it on. However, like GRIZ22 says they're kind of pointless on a hunting rifle.

why not just thread the barrel for a phantom .308 or vortex flash supressor? If you ever decide to get a sound supressor, you'll alread have the threads, or a 22mm nato standard flash supressor to hang your can on.
