My CCW is a Glock 27 and because of my lifestyle it would be a real convenience to have a quick connect weapons light for the gun. Obviously the 27 is not equipped with a rail so my options are limited or non-existent.

What I have found is the Glock flashlight adapter. I'm wondering if anyone has actually tried this on a 26 or 27? At first glance it seems impractical because there is not space left for my pinky with the adapter base plate. But in looking at it there is some space between the bottom of the grip and the adapter.

Any other suggestions?

Get a different firearm with a rail would be my first suggestion.

Other than that Glock is very much a one trick pony so many of their accessories that will fit parts for full size firearms will fit their compact or subcompact frames.

I'm a little confused, as it would seem at odds with the concept of concealed carry

If your G26 is your CCW, were you planning to carry the light attached to the mag in the gun or were you thinking of having it as the reload mag?

9mmepiphany- I have kids at home so any gun in the house is locked up unless I'm wearing it; the safe is in the bedroom. I want a lighted gun for the nightstand but if I go to bed after, or wake up before, my wife opening the safe to change guns makes enough noise to wake her. I plan to continue to carry the G27 during the day.

So the issue isn't buying a gun with a rail but rather changing guns quietly. It seemed that popping a light on and off could be a solution.

Thanks for the comments- it seemed that I was stretching the gun's purpose too far but perhaps there was something I was overlooking. I'll continue on with a separate flashlight.

Cheers

I really like the G26/27 for its size and weight. I actually like its lack of a rail. One less thing to tear up a holster or snag on a shirt during presentation. I wish I had a solution that would allow you to mount a light on you gun. The sub compact Xd and XdM both have rails and will offer the closest approximation of a Glock in form and function. As others have said another option would be a stand alone flashlight in either a stand alone holster or perhaps a light mag pouch combo.
