This is the first time I have posted on the blackpowder forum. I am looking for flintlock parts. I have found the Dixie gunworks on line, is there any other source of parts? The more the better.

If you like check this site out and subscribe for the magazine. This magazine is the standard all others seek to match..

And no I don't work for them, and I don't even get the magazine anymore.

The why is pereft for you... To many adds of where to buy flint lock parts..

You can get Siler lock kits, and others. You can get stock wood, and getz barrels and all sorts of others. You name it if it has anything to do with flint locks there is an add for it. Whole camps, to the smallest pot hooks and patch knives.

For high quality locks try L&R at this URL:

I have bought a lock from them and it was a very nice lock. I ended up trimming the trigger spring to give it a lighter trigger pull but that is better then having one that can't be trimmed.

My personal preference for locks is Siler (Jim Chambers). You can also buy parts from LogCabinShop in Lodi, Ohio.

thank you

Thank you for the info. Going to try to build my own flintlock, should be interesting.

My personal preference... LogCabinShop in Lodi, Ohio.

The Kindigs are a great bunch to work with,

I've been dealing with the family for 40 years and have yet to be given any bad advice or sold any junk.

I have boughtjunk but they tried to steer me to something else and I was too smart!

If you can make the trip, the shop is a great place to visit.
