Well, the flood here along the Missouri River is worse than the flood of 2011. If history repeats itself (and it will) there will be a lot of presses hit the market. The problem with this flood it hit within a week of the water rising where last time it took over a month to reach its peak.
The flood of 2011 I bought 9 LNL presses 1 Ammo-Plant 3 Presses with case feeders and 5 stand-alone presses.
You are going to find two different scenarios. The first is where the press was under water and the second is where they have been going down in the basement and noticed that the still have a press that they don't use and just want to get rid of it.
My suggestion if you buy a press from a flood-prone area go check it out. Cycle the press a few times. If it is not smooth it most likely underwater. If it is smooth run a few rounds through it. It may be out of time. If it will not make a round it is a paperweight (pay accordingly)
The way to check a press out that was underwater is to check the bottom of the index wheel. It should have no sign of rust then check out the primer punch it should have no rust in the threads or the punch its self.
Just be careful don't buy someone's problem.
