Well, this is the end of my homemade knife threads so everyone can rest easy now!

I lost most all the other photos of the knives I made & sold over the years.
Sad situation, and I should have my butt kicked for not having a back-up of all the old photos!!

7 1/2" Fighters in progress:

Little buck with owners initials on deer horn:

Mosaic pin in butt:

Gut-Hook deer zipper I made about 1970. It uses injector razor blades:

A 7 1/2" Sub-Hilt fighter from a broken civil war saber blade.
The handle is from a hand-hewn Laotian Rosewood plank a friend brought home from the Vietnam war.

A Marine Cobra Pilots's M3 I made from on old M3 thrench knife blade for him:
Thats dust from Iraq in the leather tooling and butt cap emblem!

Very nice! What's that top fighter blade?
On another note did you try freezing the hard disk overnight?

The blades:

The hard drive:
Yes, I tried freezing it, beating on it, hooking it up to a MAC, cussing it, and a few other things I read about.

I even bought a used working drive on ebay with the exact same numbers on it, and put the crashed platter in the new drive head.

Nothing worked.
I'm told there are companies that can recover most of it, but the cost is Very High.
Probably a grand or more.

Just not worth the expense.

All of them are great but that Civil War saber-bladed fighter is really cool!

I'm all out of my custom stuff.

Still have a few more military and commercials to go.

Then I will let everyone return to the Regularly Scheduled Programming. ;)

You keep posting some of the prettiest scrolling I come across including the Hot-Rod, motorcycle and boat forums I belong to. I really dig the great leather to go along with the steel.

BTW Carbonite is easy, automatic, online backup, and worth the peace of mind. I back up to an external HD also, but Carbonite is the bee's knees.
