I'll be travelling to FL to work for a couple of weeks, any good gun shops and ranges I should visit? I'll be in the West Palm Beach and Ft Lauderdale areas.

Thanks.

For pistol shooting weston arms isn't too bad. For rifle and skeet Markham park for sure. There are often pistol and carbine matches being held at Markham as well. Fun place to shoot.

Shoot Straight has a nice indoor range in the WPB area - Southern Blvd and the Turnpike.

Outdoor World / Basspro Shops has a nice indoor range in the FTL area - I-95 and Griffen Rd.

But I do all my shotgun, rifle, and pistol shooting at Markham Park. www.markhampark.com

There is also the Palm Beach Sheriff's Range about 10 miles west of Shoot Straight for rifle shooting but they are only open one or two weekends per month.

Markham Park is your best bet for Shotgun Rifle or Pistol all outdoor never tried Weston Arms gonna have to give that one a try been to Arizona Shooting Range but that is indoors they allow Pistols and Shotguns Were allowing AR at last time I was there will do a recon this week need to see if they have something new I can not live without

For rifle/shotgun Markham Park as previously stated. It's at the last exit west on I-595 (SW 136 Ave) before I-75 (don't miss the exit and get on I-75). A really nice facility located at the back end of a huge park. If you have time, you can spend a full day there. Check hours and days of operation before you go...the schedule changes throughout the year and it's not open 7 days a week. Website:

Arizona Gun in Ft. Lauderdale on 441 south of Commercial Blvd. has a nice store and a nice indoor range although it is small with just a few lanes.

A little further south is Pembroke Gun Range (used to be called American Indoor). This is where I like to shoot. The people are friendly, there are plenty of lanes and they have a small but decent store. If you've never been before it's kinda hard to find. Website: http://pembrokegunrange.com/

Also in that area is Big Al's on Hallandale Beach Blvd. The range is on the second floor of a large pawnshop/gun store. I like the range and it's cheaper to shoot there but the folks there can be a pain...the usual condescending & disrespectful gunstore types. Not all of them but I don't have the temperament to deal with people like that anymore.

Can't agree more about Big Al's kind of maybe a place where if you are not in the click then why are you here maybe I wanna buy sumpin ?? But after the weird vibe I got decided was not the place I wanna do business  Nice to see some folks on here in same backyard as me  Never been to Pembroke range going to have to check it out

The only one I've been to in Palm Beach is the Del-Ray shooting center. It was pretty nice. Indoor
