I have a FN HI Power with a T300-000 number.
Have anyone an idee when this pistol in made? (Year)?

Your FN was not imported by Browning, and falls outside their serial number range. Since all the pistols were made in the FN factory, regardless of rollmark, the codes should be the same. That pistol should have been made towards the end of the 69-75 timeframe, and sold outside North America.

Someone more knowledgeable then I on FN markings will be needed to narrow it down.

Do you have pics?

I was looking at mine -- a BHP that has a serial number of T-263XXX. I can't find that on the Browning list; have I mis-interpreted -- or simply misreading what is written?

Mine is one of the earlier ones, with the tiny (non-ambi) old-style safeties [not shown], since upgraded. The sight shown is NOT a factory sight, although it does look like one shown in the Browning User's Manual.)

Walt Sherrill,
My Hi power have a ladder sight, like the Inglis Hi Power.

Interesting. A tangent sight would seem to mark it as a military contract gun.

Internal or external extractor? Again, detailed pics would help nail this down.

These are the pics of the OP's gun.

It has tangent sights, a shoulder stock socket, and an external extractor.

I also see a Belgian proof mark. We can say it's a post '62 military gun not for North America. If I had to guess at this point I'd say early 70's.

Cast, Look for the Belgian Date and inspector codes. On my FN's they are stamped on the bottom of the slide (disconnector rail) and on the heel of the butt. (they might be in cursive) Then you should be able to narrow it down further. Also if there are any other proofs or stamps that might help folks out.

Belgian Proof marks and Date codes

Cast: Your FN branded Tangent/Slotted "T" is commercial production from late '70/early '71...detailed examination of the various FN Factory Part Dates Codes would likely narrow it down...

Walt: Your "T" is likely '69, and again...detailed examination of the various FN Factory Part Dates Codes would likely narrow it down as well...

The Browning website is notoriously problematic...

That's my conclusion, too -- given that the serial number is HIGHER than the number range shown. I knew SOMETHING wasn't right. Thanks.

Hi Power

What I can read on the bottom of the slide is:

3 , 2 crossed rifles, a, 4, E and the proof mark.

I try to find a mail adress from FN Belgium
