I have posted on this before to try and see what people know but I have gained some info since and wanted some advice. I live in an are that doesnt deal in old and Mil Surp rifles. There is an FN Mauser 1924 at a local antique store, it looked like it was in good condition but not New In Box. First question is, what do ya'll think about the 1924 Mauser? Is it consitered a good rifle? I havent been able to find much info on FN Mausers. Second, what is a good condition Mauser 1924 worth? The tag on the rifle priced it a $380. The rifle was in a glass case and the vender was not around so I did not see any markings on the gun. Or get a close inspection of the bore or a real evaluation of the condition.

That's about a fair price for a decent one. It's essentially the same rifle as the Yugo M24/47, except rather than made on FN machinery sold to Yugoslavia, it's made in Belgium at FN. Just somewhat rarer.

Have a look for Nazi waffenampt stamps on it, there's a reasonable chance it was captured and marked accordingly.

And just for sake of information, it's an intermediate-length bolt, like a Turk 1903 or Yugo 24/47.
