Hi. I have heard this is a great gun forum. I love to go shooting and would like to expand my knowledge of firearms. I think that as Americans we have the right to bear arms and that there is nothing the government can change about that. I look forward to having a great time here.

Welcome Aboardâ„¢ P14

Howdy Shaun!

Hey y'all this is my "adopted" son Shaun. He's only 16 but he's plenty smart.
He goes to the range with me every chance he gets and he's becoming quite a good shot.

He's a stickler for the 4 rules and he's about as responsible around firearms as a person can be.

I think he'll fit in well here.

If he acts up just let me know and I'll swat his tail.

Welcome aboard Shaun.

Historically, the new guy's supposed to buy ammo. However, since you're still too young to buy any, we'll let you get away with swiping some from your dad's stockpile.

Just where do you think his .50cal ammo can full of .303 British came from? :neener:

My brother gave him a nice Eddystone P14 for helping him pack up for his move to Vegas three months ago. So guess who got to supply the ammo?

There's GOT to be a trick to getting those danged .303 stripper clips to work right.

Welcome Shaun!!!

If you can't buy the ammo yet, you can help me run the BBQ.

Hi, P14Enfield. Just be aware that you have defacto registration Stateside already. All those ATF forms you have to fill in is registration. Second Ammendment and the fact it's laws being made by a non-elected government agency not withstanding.
It is nice to see a guy and his da sharing a hobby though. And remember that whatever he buy's will be your's eventually.

Welcome P14!:) Sounds like you'll enjoy it here!

And hey, Sunray: Yes and no. The forms are kept at the dealers place of business, and yes LE can inspect them, but usually they only do so concerning weapons used in crimes. On the other hand, yes, I did see in Red Dawn where the first thing the Cuban Col. did was get the Federal forms from the gunshops/hardware stores....:uhoh:

Welcome Aboard

Hi Shaun ....Welcome to the fellowship of The High Road.
Good People here.

I agree with another poster. While you're not yet old enough to buy ammo you certainly can help with the barbeque and pitching the tent.

I learned how to shoot in the Scouts, and have grown up most of my life around people who shoot in the outdoors not the indoors. I hope you will always practice SAFETY FIRST and enjoy your activities in shooting and training.

Make your Dad proud.
