I recently purchased a FNP-45. I looked a long time to get a second 45 auto to go with my 1911a1. I wanted a double action and a high capacity. My search came down to the FNP-45 qand the Springfield XD. Both felt great in my hand and I knew the Springfield reputation. The FN was an unknown except for the general FN reputation.
Anyway to sum up I finally settled on the new FN. What was the final determining factor? There were actually two. All other considerations were absolutely tied but the FN was American made and it was hammer fired. Just my own prejudices and not necessarily a factor for others.
Now shooting it went great. It is a super handling handgun and feeds everything well from cast to FMJ and various hollow points. It liked the Speer Gold Dots best and second was the Winchester White Box hard ball stuff. That gives me a defensive round and a practice round that the FN shoots well.
Anyone else tried this new handgun?
