FNP/X question

I have noticed a few threads about the FNP/X pistols of late, and I own a FNP .45 USG myself. My question is, what is FN's warranty on them? My owners manual doesn't say, but I have read on the other forums that it's a lifetime warranty.

Anybody know the real answer?

Good question. Perhaps it's like Ruger's "warranty." Ruger doesn't offer any actual warranty -- but will fix any gun they manufactured, free of charge, and don't care whether or not you're the original owner.

I believe it is just like Rugers warranty. Here is what they say about their warranty on their FAQ:

12 Q: How do I register my FNH USA firearm for warranty?
A: No warranty registration for your FNH USA firearm is required.

And heres one more thing I found on my google search:

"this is the e-mail response I received from the FNH Customer Support Manager (US):

"We have an Implied Warranty- Meaning that FN will Service our product for five years as long as it has not been Modified or Abused!

We do not have warranty cards, keep your sales receipt."

If it's 5 years, it's not like Ruger's warranty. Ruger's is lifetime.

I just called FNH...........it's 5 years from the date of purchase.
