Recently on THR there have been a few threads about FOBUS products in general and paddle hosters in particular which intrigued me as I was looking for a new carry option for my G17. I did some web searching and found a great deal at Kielser's on closeout FOBUS paddle holsters for G17/G19/G22/G23, etc. for only $7.95! The color is OD green and it came in the mail today and I have been carrying around the house and doing some errands today and so far it feels good. I had been using the Glock polymer belt slide holster which is very minimal in bulk, but I like the paddle because it allows me to remove it and put it on as the situation warrants without having to remove my belt. This is a plus in my book.

Only prolonged carry will really tell if this is the "hot" setup for me or not, but so far color me happy.:) And if it doesn't work for me, I'm only out $12.95 total investment for holster and shipping. If you have been wanting to give a FOBUS paddle a try for your Glock, I would suggest giving this some thought.

Just wanted to share!

I have a few Fobus holsters. Like you, when I bought my first one, I didn't know anything about them and figured for what they cost, why not ? They seem to me to be a very good holster and a bargin at that. I also own one Bladetech holster that cost a lot more, but I honestly don't think it is any better of a holster. I still like leather and consider a fine leather holster to be a work of beauty and art. But, if you are just looking for something to put a gun on your hip, the Fobus isn't a bad deal. I primarily bought Fobus for the guns that I didn't own a holster for, and that I didn't really intend to carry other than at the range. But, I wouldn't hesitate to use a Fobus as a primary open carry holster. I actually used one for IDPA and didn't have any complaints with it.

I've got a couple around also, and its like 444 said, they pass for open carry, but for a CCW they put the gun just a hair too far from the body ......and they RATTLE!
