well, so far it seems like everything people have said they wanted can be achieved with this single modular design im working on... when its finished... completely finished ill register the design as open source and post the blueprints/schematics and 3D solid-modeling files

I like the sig 556 operating system, rock river arms fire control group, collapsible folding stock, picatinny rail sytem built into upper assembly, ability to chamber 5.56 and swap for 308 would be good. Most of all make it affordable and lightweight with an 18" barrel.
