I picked up some fiocchi today and had my friend pick me up a couple of boxes too. I noticed the boxes are different and the bullets also look completely different. The dark blue box says assembled in Hungary for Fiocchi USA, and the light blue box says made in Italy. The dark blue box (assembled in hungary) also has a bullet plated with a brass color that matches the casing, while the made in Italy version has a regular copper plated jacket. Is there any quality difference in the two versions of Fiocchi Ammo?

There shouldn't be. Some ammunition companies are changing bullet jackets from 90:10 Cu/Zn (220 brass) to 70:30 Cu/Zn (260 brass) to lower manufacturing costs. Remington has done this to a number of SKUs. I've shot a bunch of the new stuff and it works just as well.

If you are a reloader, you may want to look at the primer sizes. Some makers use different size primer's in their standard and economy ammunition. Both large and small pistol primer's will work just fine, but if you are reloading the brass, it is somewhat of a pain sorting through the cases making sure you have them separated by primer size.

I think Federal, like the Champion ammo pictured in the background is one of the makers using different size primers within their product line-up.

From the picture you posted the darker blue box would appear to be a plated bullets as apposed to the copper jacketed bullet in the lighter blue box. Would need to look at it up close to really tell.
