Well this is a follow up to the sigma makes my ammo look like a .380. I did some testing and it seems that when i slam the slide with one in the chamber enough time it will start pushing my bullet into the shell. Its weird because with my 1911 never does that. I can cycle, and slam the bullet in and nothing happens to my ammo except it just scratches it up. The Sigma is looking very grim for me. Well any feedbacks, etc. would be great thanx.

I belive if you mike you 45acp you will find set back their also. You just don't rechamber same round over and over. Fact is Only time I unload my pistols is by shooting. or when I clean. Otherwise they stay loaded. If cleaning the chamber round goes to bottom of my clean mag.

Get some dummy rounds or snap caps, to practice with. No need to ruin good carry ammo.:)

After reading this I checked the ammo in my P3AT. It gets cleaned often and checked for dirt or dryness even more often often, and I have been chambering the same 3 rounds repeatedly. I could find no setback. Then I chambered the same round over and over, probably 50 times. Still no measurable setback.

Is this setback typical of certain ammo or is it found more often in some pistols?

Thats a good question man because the Winchester FMJ i have didnt have any setbacks, but with the remington hollows they set back real easy. Im talking like second time i cycle the bullet gets set back into the casing.
