Are you shooting .357 loads exclusively? Consider shooting only .38 special loads like the FBI load (158 grain lead semi-wadcutter hollowpoints loaded to +P).

The OP got a consensus regarding his forcing cone, and since we're going off-topic and offering up unhelpful vignettes, I'm closing this.

i was gonna post this on my thread but it is closed so i thought i would just start a thread thanking everyone for they're help if that's ok. on my forcing cone erosion problem, i tried a piece paper at a foot and half away from my cylinder gap, nothing went on paper at all, a friend said he couldn't see any flame out the side either, so that was good news this morning. being on a fixed income keeps me on edge a lot i guess, don't have much left each month to get anything fixed. when something needs fixing i have to save several months to do it. i only have one handgun so sending it to be fixed means i'm without one. there are no gun smiths in my area. i have checked and i would have to mail my gun off if it ever needed work. i want to thank everyone for your help, i will try and not worry so much about my gun in the future as it does shoot very nice. and every time i think i need a new one, i think of several friends i have who have bought a new one recently and had to send them back for problems and i just think how back when my gun was made that it was put together right and tested right and that helps a lot. thanks everyone.
