Many of us here in Eugene take our .22's pretty seriously. We even developed regularly-scheduled, official league action around the concept and we're in our 4th biannual .22 League session (4 wks long) as we speak. I'm pretty good with my tweaked 'n tuned Mark II Gov Model and it was one of my first guns. Tuned the trigger, put some nice Hogue grips on it and called it ready to rock. Had a fellow shooter finally tweak the sights perfectly and now it's killer accurate. Love it.
Though I don't exactly put cheapo ammo thru it, it's still an economical shoot... and damn' good aiming practice. This particular gun is HEAVY and has helped develop some muscle control over time... along with the .45, of course.
