form 1 stamp has arrived

my form 1 stamp has arrived. assembling a 10.5 ar15. sent it off last week of august and arrived today. just had to share the excitement as my wife was no where near as excited as i was.

Cool, got my trust done and am ready to start filling out the forms, any samples on the web of filled out example forms so I don't screw up doing mine?

i called the atf office on a couple questions i had filling mine out and they were very helpful and actually returned the voicemail messages i left.

Huge applause and congrats. I know how agonizing the wait can be as it took 10 months for my form 4. I look forward to pics of your build.

To Wally: I'll echo what the OP said. I contacted the ATF several times in my long wait for my stamp and I always got a person on the phone and they were always accomodating. Don't be afraid to call up your public servants and ask for some help. Get the name of the helpful officer and include it in a cover letter if you're worried about any details ("Sally Jones told me to do X in Y way").

My form 1 was just at two months!

And it only took me about three hours to build this:



I already had my reciever engraved and all the parts were sitting in a box ready to go when the stamp hit my mailbox I hit the toolbox!

I know how you feel. when I show my wife a newly barreled action or a new silencer fresh off of the lathe and ask her what she thinks; she says, "it's a pipe". I love her, but that's what I get for marrying a nerdy girly-girl computer programmer form Thailand.
