This morning I found a rusted either a .223 Rem of a 5.56 Nato cartridge (had an + inside a circle). It had rust on the brass casing, the bullet had green down the side (like green corrosion on brass) but I couldn't tell about the tip, if it was green or not. I pulled the bullet and its weight was 62 grain, had 26.5 grains of very fine powder and a brass primer which I pulled and saved.
Does anyone have an idea of what this might have been and what kind of powder was used when it was loaded? Thanks.
I took it apart, kept the primer and bullet, crushed the case and added it to my waste metal bin. The powder I dumped in the flower bed. I think I did good, first time I got to use my new RCBS bullet puller, worked great, could have used the kinetic puller but wanted to see how the RCBS worked.
