Found My New 10mm

Awesome!

10mm FTW!!! I have a G20SF and love the hell out of it. With that said Glock isn't the only gun manufacture who builds great firearms and I'm sure the S&W is an excellent piece. It's good to see any gun chambered in 10mm.

I wish they would start making a Baby Desert Eagle II in 10mm.
 
S&W autos often get a back seat to poly-striker pistols like the XD or Glock to the neophyte or even by some dealers. Folks assume that the dealer knows all about firearms, yet my experience is the opposite. You may have a C&R dealer who knows everything about US or German martial arms sell a minty Finnish 28/30 for $150 because its just a Russian rifle. A guy who thinks that the world would reach nirvana if a Glock and an AR had a baby could easily dismiss the value of an all-metal S&W.

Those are the kinds of dealers I seek out at gun shows.

I agree with you. The place where I bought it, their bread and butter seems to be selling popular, mainstream guns. Their motivation was getting it cheap from the guy trading it in, and selling it fast.

You do know that the BDE is basically a Tanfoglio... the same manufacturer that makes the Witness line. The frame size is a little different (the Witnesses that get imported to the US have a slightly larger frame, but that's needed to accommodate the length of the 10mm round anyway), and the safety is mounted in a different place. Otherwise, there basically IS a BDE in 10mm... it's called an EAA Witness.
 
^I know the Jericho 941 is based off the CZ75(which I own one), as is the Witness. I think the Baby DE is a good looking gun. I'm not attracted to the Witness though. IDK I just don't care to spend money on one.

If I was to get another 10mm I would get a Delta Elite.
 
Dang! Haven't checked there in a long time. They get so much range traffic, I never figured anything good would sit in case long enough for me to snag it! Congrats!
 
Yeah, there can be some deals. I think on some stuff they price it low just to move it. I bought one of their previous range guns, a CZ75 BD Police for $350 with the box, paperwork, spare mag, CZ snap caps, etc. the finish was a little rough but it's a great shooter. The next day I bought another CZ BD (non-police) for $395. That gun was in 99% condition.

They have a reputation of being rude, but I find everyone I've dealt with there to be quite friendly. YMMV.
 
What a bargain on what appears to be a very high condition gun! Yours appears to have the 3rd./ latest type trigger guard. I have owned several S&W 10MMs, 1006 fixed and adjustable sights, 1026.1076,610, etc. All very good,heavy duty guns that easily handle the actual 10MM type ammo, as opposed to the almost .40 S&W equivalent loads prevalent today...
