Woo hoo! I haven't seen this around for quite a while. I found some CCI sub-sonic .22 ammo too. Maybe the ammo situation is still getting better slowly. I'm glad to see my favorite .223 ammo back in circulation even though I never came close to running out. I bought a good bit more anyway. The way things go these days I don't count on anything.

I bought some Black Hills 77 gr .223 for a 1/8 twist AR. Got groups .750 @ 100 yds.

Some Lapua 69 gr. and other good stuff here:

I have no doubt that other ammo works great in other rifles but my Savage 12 LRPV is crazy about Black Hills ammo. Sierra MatchKing Boat Tail. It actually likes the remanufactured stuff better too. I've tried so many different rounds through that rifle it isn't funny but the only off the shelf stuff that I know of that approaches the quality of self-loaded stuff is Black Hills. I'm not the only one that thinks that either. I suppose I would have learned to re-load if I had started shooting centerfire rifles for long range accuracy about 20 years ago but I don't shoot enough to make it worthwhile to buy the equipment, learn what to do and work out the best load. It would take me a long time to work all that out the way I see it. And the Black Hills stuff really is good stuff. Read the article on this page and you'll see that I'm not alone in my views on Black Hills.

And 69 gr. is about the best choice for my rifle too. I've actually shot "some" better groups with 50 gr. Black Hills stuff but the 69 gr. stuff is more consistent. I still have several weights that I've tried. I shoot up the stuff left over from my testing when I'm just plinking. Given how much ammo I've bought to try out that has left me with a considerable stash of plinking ammo. But I still jump when I see 69 gr. Black Hills ammo for sale. I have really good luck with it.

my older Brother works at Black Hills good stuff

You couldn't set a guy up for a discount could ya??? :D ;)
