Found the Holy Grail of rifles today

Went to my local gunshop this morning,low and behold there is a 1939 mint condition Winchester model 70 in 270 wcf cal.I bought it for $1,060.I have been looking for at least the last 10 years for one of these in this condition.Can,t wait to get to the range.

I feel I was at the right place at the right time.I collect pre 64 Winchesters and this one is a real keeper.

Hey Frank, some of us will never win the lottery but that's getting close. When I walk through the tables at a gun show the only thing I see are the pre 64 Model 70 Winchesters. Also, I have noticed that there are fewer and fewer of them around. Your wife may not understand, neither does mine, but I do!
