Love him or hate him. He isn't going anywhere. With over 7 million viewers on YouTube and over 4 million fans on Facebook he is a social media force. I personally like his videos and look at him as an entertainer. Is he the safest? No. Is he helping pro gun or anti gun with his antics? Jury is still out. But no one else out there has this following. He monetizes his YouTube and Facebook and puts so much of that back into his video shoots. I teach people how to use social media and he is an example of smart one! Despite his antics

I've watched some of his videos. Maybe it's just me but I didn't find any entertainment value.
Or, maybe I just don't Get the joke.

He is an entertainer, and he is entertaining. I don't think people are watching his channel to learn gun safety, but rather to be amused watching exotic weapons used in ways you won't see on the History channel.

Like him or not, one thing is for certain; he has made a name for himself, and amassed a decent fortune doing something fun. We should all be so lucky.

As for unsafe practices, well......he's not doing these stunts at a public range, so the only people who are in danger are willingly so. I have no problem with people engaging in perilous acts, so long as they do not endanger innocent people who have not consented to being put at risk. Kinda like seatbelt and helmet laws I so vehemently disagree with; it's my posterior and only mine, so why is it anyone else's concern how I do or don't protect it?

Oh come on. He's an entertainer. I find the guy to be hilarious. What's not to find funny about a dude driving a tank through the drive-thru at McDonald's?

and as someone else mentioned earlier, he wears some sort of hearing protection in almost all of his videos. His eye protection appears to be a bit on the insufficient side, but I can't recall any of his videos where I didn't notice him wearing some sort of earplugs.

Their presence is just a show (or he has ear canals too small for the plugs he's trying to use) when he uses them. His eye protection is for show and not adequate for the explosions he uses in the vids. The flying debris is typically too close to himself and his videographer for those explosions.

He appeals to the lowest aspects of childish gun enthusiasts more interested to Hollyweird antics than skilled firearms use.

But, that's what people outside of our community like and that's impression others have of us.

As I didn't bother to read ALL posts I hope I'm not doubling, but I'd like to clear up some things, I know him, he's actually a really nice guy, and his producer did not kill himself which is why it's under investigation still to this point.

He actually is a fairly regular shooter at my local range and practices all safety measures (eyes n ears) and it's a fairly good shot, as good as me at least and I think I'm decent, like I said I didn't mean to go off subject if I have but I'm basically referring to be first few posts and the attached link

I think a lot of people confuse Kyle Myers the person with Dmitri Potapoff, the cavalier "devil-may-car" character.

I'm not sure what to make of the link? Is it implying he is a murderer? Based on what? Or is it saying we should all quit our hobbies if someone we know is murdered? I don't get it.

Are his sunglasses polycarbonate? I shoot with transition polycarbonate prescription lenses all the time. Does he have ear plugs in? I prefer the internal foam plugs myself.

Mike
