Hey all!

I am pleased to announce that FIREARMS RESEARCH & INSTRUCTION (www.f-r-i.com) will be conducting a Level II Handgun course on OCTOBER 1-3, 2004 at a private range near Jasper, IN.

FR&I has been providing top-quality defensive handgun instruction around the country and overseas for more than a decade. As a government contractor, FR&I has provided training to the FBI, Air Marshals and other high-profile agencies. FR&I is certified by several states for their concealed weapons permit classes, and lead instructor Steve Silverman is court-certified as an expert in firearms and the use of lethal force.

The Level II Handgun course is appropriate for armed citizens, law enforcement officers, security professionals and anyone who lawfully carries a firearm for duty use or personal protection. This 30-hour course is the introductory "tactical" level, and is suitable for intermediate-level shooters. It is designed around the qualification courses from several Federal, state and local law enforcement agencies, each of which emphasizes a unique tactic or skill. This "building block" approach allows the student to master and assimilate one skill before moving on to the next. The Level II covers such topics as:

* Mental Awareness and Conflict Avoidance
* Legal Ramifications of Lethal Force
* Shooting While Moving
* Tactical Movement
* Multiple Assailants
* Malfunction Drills
* Low/No-Light Shooting & Tactical Use of Flashlights
* The Four-Point Draw
* Emergency, Tactical, Speed and Administrative Reloads
* Basic Disarming and Weapons Retention

Tuition for the course is $345.00. A $175.00 deposit is due by August 1, 2004; note that enrollment is limited and classes fill quickly! Tuition may be paid by personal check, or by credit card using FR&I's secure web site.

For more information or to register for the course, Email me at [email protected].

Thanks, and hope to see you in October!

Thanks for the welcome, El Tajon! I've lurked here for quite awhile, but finally decided to register and post something useful. Where in the state are ya, and are there many other hoosier High Roaders?

UPDATE: Only 4 open slots left! I'd hate to see anyone get left out because they waited until the last minute to register...

Drop me a line if you would like more information on the class, or want to get signed up.

Thanks!
