I was cleaning my Mossberg 702 plinkster and noticed a small (1/16 inch) fracture in the feed ramp. The gun still shoots fine and is quite accurate. I notice an occasional failure to eject when the gun goes over 500 rounds without a through cleaning. Other than that it has been problem free.

Is the fracture a safety concern?
Will the fracture grow with rounds?

Has anyone else has a similar problem, or know a solution.
I'm hoping I can replace/weld/repair the ramp without the time and expense of sending it to the factory. Its under a lifetime warranty.

Thanks in advance

Best thing to do is send it to the factory, you might also have it checked by a gunsmith. Welding it will ruin the chamber heat treament, and that is not a good idea.
