I posted this on another forum in the past, so I'm just wanting more opinion...

With my recent purchase of a new LnL AP press, I got the certificate for the free 500 bullets. I'm only going to reload (at this time) for 40 smith & Wesson and I only (want to) shoot 180 gr out of my pistol. The 40 cal bullets in the free section are not 180 grain bullets. I'm wondering what would have the best "trade/cash" value out of the following:

Item# Description
2266 22 CAL .224 55 GR SP W/C
2453 6MM .243 100 GR BTSP
2730 270 CAL .277 130 GR SP
2825 7MM .284 139 GR BTSP
3031 30 CAL .308 150 GR SP
35540 9MM .355 115 GR HP/XTP
35700 38 CAL .357 110 GR HP/XTP
40000 10MM .400 155 GR HP/XTP
44050 44 CAL .430 180 GR HP/XTP
45100 45 CAL .451 185 GR HP/XTP

Thanks for the insight...

Kevin

I would say the 30 cal bullets, but you ay want to just compare the regular prices along with how common the caliber is.

I used my rebates to get 500 223, and 300 308.

It really all depends. 7mm are your most expensive for 500 (that's what I got but it's because I reload for a 7mm Rem Mag. Double check the prices but I believe that's what's on the rebate form.

.223, and .308 would probably sell fast though. .223, and 7mm are easy to find for the most part. 308 and the 243 not quite as easy.

If you can get 500 of either the 30cal, 7mm, or 270 you will be able to trade or sell them for at least the price of the 180gr 40's. Rifle bullets are much more expensive than pistol. In my opinion the 30's would be the most easy to sell, but you never know. Hunting season is here and the 7mm, 270, or even the 6mm are hard to get.
