Like a lot of Century rifles, it's going to be a crapshoot as to weather or not you get a good one or bad one. When I went shopping for mine, I took bore lights, headspace guages, cleaning gear, calipers, the works. I heard that a lot of them had rough chambers so this was something I made a very close inspection on and I came out with a good one. Mine works quite well and I really don't have any problems with it. Well, the sights are a bit rough and the action seems like it's a bit "clinky" sounding but it's been fairly accurate and never had any stoppages so I can't complain about it. Stay away from soft civilian primers though and stick with the harder military primers with this rifle. More than a couple have blown up from that huge firing pin slam firing a soft primer.
