I think there is quite a bit of confusion here.

Wait a minute - I thought the point of having an all-plastic belt - or at least one with no metal - was so you didn't have to take it off at the security check point. That's what I have been doing - are there some airports where they make you take off your belt even if it will not set off the metal detectors?
I had to read through the posts a few times to see where the "quickly and easy on, quickly and easy off" came from. It is from
Ron James who I think was himself confused about what belt the OP,
abates was talking about.
I was confused even, with the original velcro comment, thinking the OP was talking about the velcro closure on the belt and not the velcro backing on the belt for the hidden holster hooks.
Now I understand more fully, though it's possible more information may come to light. Looking at Crossbreeds site, they offer their own belts with velcro backing, but only in 1.25" and 1.5" widths, so their own velcro holster attachments are equipped the same. I suppose you could use a 1.75" width velcro backed belt, but you'd end up with extra velcro exposed that would probably rub on your pants. I expect it would work, but not be optimal.
Here is a review I found of a Crossbreed with the velcro hooks that may be helpful.

For what it's worth, since you say...
I've yet to buy accessories so I can carry.
I suspect the vast majority of users with a Crossbreed type of Inside the Waistband (IWB) holster don't use the velcro attachments, but rather the over hooks.
