got a friend getting married in 3 weeks and dont have a clue what to give him. can yall help me out? he loves firearms, but he doesnt own anything.

he loves to shoot at the range. i would like to keep it under $60 if possible. thanks guys

When I was in college we had a buddy get married and picked up a cheap H&R single shot break open shotgun and spray painted it white. There was a fairly massive intake of air from the bride's side of the family when they opened them up the next day. (aka . .they assumed it was a shotgun wedding)

Agreed. Getting him the membership helps out the NRA. The hollowpoints will cause him to buy a gun. Result = Better future for gun owners.

1. A range bag, Give him a place to start accumulating stuff for future firearms, and a way to get his own stuff to the range. I have a ishot pro shooter that I really like, it was close to your price range

2. NRA membership is good

3. Can you work out a gift certificate for gun rental at a local range or range time?

4. Subscription to shotgun news and a C&R application kit with paid first 3 years

Spat Bag

Hell at some point he is going to screw up, or the wife says he has, no matter he will be looking for Couch to sleep on.

Spat Bag ought to have a change of clothes, shaving kit, some cash, extra smokes and lighter and stuff along these lines.

Ladies version (they storm out too ya know) usually has extra chocolate and Gift Certs to Ice Cream places to get a Quart of Rocky Road ( whatever).

Gun Related part of post:
Ladies are better shooters than men more often than not, still they do not exhibit this same accuracy is throwing plates, dishes and other breakables.

The best Marriage Manual is How to Train Your Dog...so I hear anyway, too many damn folks been putting up with each other for 40 years and longer and that is what they said worked as guide for them.

Use Enough Spat Bag

*grin*

$60 should get you a decent used .22 rifle.

Thats probably the best gift you could give a aspiring gun owner and marksmen. He can shoot often and cheap, he can build skills worth SEVERAL times what the gun cost in a few mere afternoons.

$60 in my local shops would get you a decent used .22 bolt rifle, I have purchased Winchesters and Savages in that price range. I have also bought a few Marlin Model 60 semi-autos in that price ranges as well.

If you lived close by I would offer to sell you one of my .22 rifles for your friend, but the transfer fee would make it pointless.

he loves firearms, but he doesnt own anything

Um, wait a second guys. For some reason this statement sends up a red flag. Can't remember the last time I heard of someone enjoying firearms and not actually owning one.

Is there some reason he doesn't have one yet?

thanks guys! he doesnt have one because he is 20yrs old.
he shoots his fathers xd9 from time to time.

i decided to get him a visa gift card, it was tough.
