I agree, I think he means that Congress has taken "no action" on gun control lately. Apparently irony is lost on him since our betters have armed security there and everywhere they go.

I don't know its kind of hard to pick up. Possibly he is also saying that Congress in Republican control and in direct opposition to the President and HIS mainstream media won't budge on the gun ownership issue.

You bet your butt there are a lot of guns in and around that building. Those are important people, THEY deserve significant, well trained, armed security.
