News from Cincinnati, Ohio:

The former Peters Cartridge factory in Kings Mills, (as in gun powder mills) Ohio near the Kings Island Amusement Park is going to be rehabbed after decades of neglect.
It will be the new site of "Cartridge Brewing" and a condo development.

Clearly the developer of the condos has never lived in a high rise apartment near a brewery. I went to school in Milwaukee, and lived at the corner of Wisconsin and 16th Street, on the top floor of my dorm..., when the wind shifted you got the Pabst Brewery smell...., sour stale beer....

My wife grew up in Waukesha and had relatives in Milwaukee. She recognized the address you mentioned and the delightful 'aroma'. Brought on a smile at the ancient (her word) memory.

I was always impressed by the smell of the Coors brewery in Golden Co. The whole town smells like a giant Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant.

Tell her I used to hang-out in " 'Tosa "....she should know where that is.... Sometimes the Ambrosia Chocolate factory would be up and running and the wind was right, so you got the aroma of brownies....
