So I have been watching Cabelas for some rimfire ammunition plus I wanted some dies and other reloading stuff.

I have my Cabela's account and my Cabela's VISA. I tried to add the visa to the account credit cards to make things simple. My account wouldn't let me add the card. Finally I call Cabela's and they explain my card # is already associated with an account belonging to Kathleen my wife. OK, that's right as Kathy has her account. I'll just use her account as the card is already connected to it. Made perfect sense to me.

Alas, this morning they had 22 LR in stock so I ordered some 22 LR and my dies and a few other things. Patiently awaiting my email confirmation.

Then I hear Uh Huh behind me as Kathy is checking her email on her computer. I'm like what's up? She shows me "her" email from Orders @ Cabela's. Duh, I never gave much thought to the fact that if I use Kathleen's account the email notifications of orders would go where? :)

So much for secrecy in my orders. Can't believe I did that. Well it gave us a good morning laugh and it really would not be much the secret as she pays the bills when they come in anyway. She seems happy with her new purchase. :)

Lol, that happened to me last year when my son bought me a christmas present from Midway. Somehow, his account got associated with mine and I got notification of his order as well as him. It took a call to customer service to dis-associate the two accounts. They were very pleasant and apologetic.

What's even WORSE though is getting the fraud call from your credit card company on your home phone line after buying a gun from a pawn shop. Now THAT takes some splanin'!!!

:D

Fat, dumb and happy it just, as easy as it is to see, never occurred to me what was going to happen. Kathy is very active with Cabela's and Amazon, I don't even have an Amazon account.

Sitting here thinking, gee I normally get an order confirmation pretty quick, I wonder what's up?

Yeah, absolutely a big dummy move.

Hey Ron, try being married to an accountant! She gets a notification every time any credit card is used around here. I can't get away with anything.

It's just a good thing I make a lot more money than she does.

OMG, that is funny. Kathy is the same and I am cool with that. WE married 24 years ago today and I never had any desire to maintain the finances. My finances were a disarray when we married. Heck, I had money just no clue where it was or how to manage it. To this day I have no desire to deal with any of that stuff. I can focus on the more important things in life like reloading component availability.

Wow, you've got to work on your gunrunning techniques, man......

"They" always say that a cheater wants to get caught and that's why they make mistakes.

The irony is someone with "reload" in his name is talkin about buying factory ammo.
