Front Sight for .327 LCR ?

XS Big Dot, I would say.
Went to the XS website and searched for “Big Dot” and LCR. Found the sight for the LCP but didn’t see any for the LCR and in my case the .327 LCR.

The only “Big Dot” sights on Amazon I see are for Glocks.

I installed a XS front sight on my LCR 357. Works well but beware that you have to float the front sight over the rear channel site. Other than that it works very well.

The “big” dots are quite a bit larger. The standard dot is still pretty ‘big’ if you ax me. It’s just semantics
So you’re saying the Big Dot that’s labeled: “Ruger LCR (.38/.357 Only)” will fit on a 327 ?

My wife's LCRx in .327 has two "sight upgrades" added. A red HiViz front sight and a Crimson Trace laser grip.
HiViz's website says their front sight is not for the .327 model, which is true if you consider the HiViz front sight is .030" taller than the standard issue Ruger .327 front sight. But in my wife's hands (or mine), the sighting difference does not seem to be a factor in double action shooting at 15 yards or closer. Probably due to the fact we put the red of the front sight above the rear sight channel like @dgang mentions. Which seems natural as the rear frame around the rear sight is so fat compared to other small frame revolvers.

I can tell you that my wife's Ruger front sight was held on with the pin and a dab of some kind of epoxy underneath. It was a bit of a bear to remove it.
Plus, the HiViz front sight's underside was shaped a bit tight to fit the Ruger front sight "lug". I had to chip off the epoxy and file the lug a wee bit to get the HiViz to fit. Perhaps @Dan-O can tell how the XS sight installation went for him as a comparison.

dollar store women's nail polish.......it inexpensive, long lasting, and you can be selective in color.
clean the existing sight with alcohol.
lay down the color you want on the ramp. Let dry and put another coat on. Let dry and put a clear coat on, let dry and another clear coat.
mine has lasted for over three years without touch-up and i carry daily. I did the whole ramp and it really makes it pop. I used some weird color somewhere between neon orange and red for lack of a better description. The grand daughter ran off with my bottle (LOL) When i decide to re-do it, think i will go with a neon yellow.

I concur. It’s a snub nose revolver. I have no business shooting this thing at targets over 15 yards, and it hits where I point it.

Exactly what I did with my LCR front sight- Rear sight "trench" is fairly wide, a couple dabs of nail polish on the front ramp and a clear coat over the top. Sight is easy to see, even in dim light, effective on targets and long lasting.
Using the XS Big Dot for the 357 on your 327 LCR, if you’re at 10 yards aiming dead center, where will you hit? At 15 yards?

However, I can say if you use an XS like an XS Express Sight is meant to be used you would do two things differently than trying to align the top of the front sight level with the top of the rear sight and shooting a 6 O'clock hold.
#1 - An Express Sight is stacked on top of the rear sight. #2 - The Express Sight is for a cover hold. If shooting at a 2" circle at 15 yards, the Big Dot should obscure the circle.
Clearly, the XS used as an Express sight is a short range defensive sight system for larger targets, and we use the HiViz on the LCRx like a Big Dot.
I have a XS Big Dot Express sight set on my CZ75 PCR. It took me a range session to unlearn using them like the factory sights.

Note these set ups for an adjustable rear sight revolver. You can use .38 LCR sights on an .327 LCR in a similar fashion.

I like the XS Ember Sights, not tritium but very bright and are they are standard dot size. Much cheaper than tritium sights and they come in correct heights too.

The height of the site will vary based on the caliber. In the LCR for instance, a sight that is better suited for a 327 round @ 1,300fps will not provide the same poa to poi when firing 32 S&W longs from the same gun.
For me, my LCR 327 needs to be minute of man accurate at the distances in my house and usual parking garage spaces but probably much closer. It will be so with any of the 32 fodder I've mentioned. For head shots on a hostage taker I'd want a different gun.

Same here, the wife and I are big fans of the XS Ember Sights. It took a long time for aftermarket sights to come along made specifically for the LCR in 22LR, 327 and 9MM, glad XS came up with them.
