Fugitive in the neighborhood!!

Well, I think there was a police chase and the guy ran, because I saw a minivan a few blocks away crashed in somebody's front yard, knocked over a fire hydrant, with the windows busted out. Just as we pulled into the driveway (I'm 3 blocks away), LEO with dog came up to the car, and said they were looking for a black male, jeans and ball cap. 3 other LEO's followed, and swept my yard and continued on to my neighbors. It's been over an hour now, and it's dark, there's multiple jurisdictions and helicopters searching, and we got a "code red" phone call from the police, saying stay inside with doors locked, etc. Cops are on the loudspeaker saying secure your homes and stay inside, and telling the bad guy to give up. Kinda scary. I've got a 2 year old and a preggo wifey, so I've got a lot to protect. I'm armed, but really hope that I don't have to end somebody's life tonight.
