Anyone here have experience with some of the full frame revolvers that smith offers? Been thinking about picking up a revolver lately and the scandium has attracted me for some reason. The only experience I have with scnadium revolvers is that the little jframes vibrate like hell. The scandium 1911's I really really like on the other hand.

The two that I am looking at are these
357

45acp

I am leaning towards the 45acp as I am trying to consolidate my firearms but I would like to get my wife to shoot this(she loves my dads 686) so the 357 has the advantage of using the 38 specials.

I have a 327 TRR8, and shooting .38spl through it feels like a .22 autoloader. EXTREMELY mild. I haven't tried .357 loads, but I'd expect fairly significant recoil.

I have the 329 in .44; it's mild with 44 Specials but brutal with 44 Magnums :)

However, I love the revolver itself and will probably pick up one in .38/.357 soon.

Take care,

I like my 327 M&P. Having 8 shot's is great. I've shot about 800-1000 .357s and about 300-400 .38s. the recoils isn't to bad at all.

Youtube of me shooting it with .357s Fiocchi 142g FMJ at 1400 FPS (Flame throwers!!!). Notice the muzzle rise was very little.

DA pull is pretty good, but SA is really nice. Great for some distance shooting.
